A mixed experience. The air conditioning was noisy, even when switched off, the bedding was uncomfortable with very soft pillows, and the towels on the second day had a strong smell of fried food. Housekeeping could also be improved: the floor and wardrobe weren't really clean. The shower head had low water pressure, the liquid soap near the bathtub was empty, the refrigerator cooled very slowly, and the tea wasn't replenished on the second day. Another rather annoying issue at checkout: the receptionist asked me to pay for the stay even though it had already been paid for upon arrival. Apparently, the payment hadn't been correctly entered into Booking.com. Luckily, I pointed it out, as this lack of coordination and organization could have led to double billing or unnecessary complications. On the other hand, the location is excellent, and I absolutely loved the pool: very pretty and pleasant, with the sunbeds around it that really create a holiday atmosphere. It's clearly the hotel's biggest asset.
Excellent stay, wonderful staff, impeccable management, great pool, great restaurant, I highly recommend it
The check-in was clumsy because we booked a connecting room with a connecting door, a "family room," but one of the two rooms was rented out! So we had to move the next day. The gentleman was super friendly and looked for solutions. The rooms were tidy and okay, only the TV... you can't connect a USB to it, so you have to watch French channels instead of being able to connect your laptop and watch stored movies. The Wi-Fi was terribly bad, so luckily I had 5G from work which we were able to connect to with the whole family. On the terrace by the pool, the Wi-Fi was more or less good, but that terrace was full because everyone was going there to eat "good weather," and that is normal. The kitchen outside was "a bit clumsy," but everyone really did their best! We didn't eat at the hotel due to the clumsiness. There are renovations going on in the dining room, etc., and that is clearly visible. "I would screen that off." Also, taking orders is a bit of a struggle; if someone were always present for terrace service, you could generate more revenue from drink and snack sales! The swimming pool, etc., is all in good order and adds value to the hotel. The tennis court and ping pong are also a nice bonus. Some rooms have air conditioning, but not all; ours didn't, so there were wind blowers, and that was a major drawback! Especially in the summer, this is really a must! On the booking.com site and on your own site, you show photos that give a somewhat distorted picture to interested parties. The jacuzzi and the upgrade room are visible in the photos, but by no means do all rooms look like that! The jacuzzi is also not accessible to everyone; you can only enjoy it if you rent the apartment. For breakfast, you ask guests to indicate what they would like for the following morning, which is a great plan to minimize waste! However, I think you will need to handle this differently, because I saw people arriving for breakfast this morning and there was almost nothing left... Had they forgotten to indicate this the day before? The problem is that if this happens and someone forgets to indicate it the day before, or is negligent or something similar, and they come to have breakfast the next day before someone who is up to date... a major problem could arise! In short, for the moment you have a good transit hotel in a beautiful region, but make an effort to get structure in your business so that everything runs smoothly; right now, it is sometimes a bit crooked! Kind regards, Fam Vanthienen Bollen.
Excellent welcome.
Excellent service, top-notch staff, superb pool and terrace
The rooms were small but fine, however, the floors, terrace, and refrigerator were not very clean. For €15, breakfast was minimal, with little choice and the same thing every day – expensive for what it was. But overall, especially with the pool, it was an acceptable stay.
Great, quiet spot, the owner and all his staff are so friendly, I highly recommend it. Thanks again to everyone, and see you very soon.
The hotel was okay, the staff were friendly but a bit disorganized in their service. A major drawback was the same menu two nights in a row. No bathrobes for the pool, but they could be rented for 15 euros?! The hotel seems to be finding its feet! There was a dead fly on the floor for two days. No coffee pods were replenished in the rooms.
A very pleasant experience both in terms of the hotel and the staff.
Very pleasant welcome. Beautiful hotel, room with a small terrace and separate bathroom. Very nice pool and terrace.
Modern hotel with cozy rooms, air conditioning, and a brand new swimming pool with perfectly heated water. Excellent beach facilities, and a lovely, shaded terrace perfect for lunch, dinner, breakfast, or drinks – it's perfect!
Communication was tough because the person at the front desk didn't speak English and we couldn't speak French. The room felt outdated and worn. The showerhead was tied with a plastic bag to keep it from falling, and the ashtray on the balcony hadn't been emptied. First impressions weren't great either—the resort looked quite run-down when we pulled into the car park. However, the pool is really lovely! Overall, it's okay for a one-night stopover.
A friendly, family-run hotel. The facilities and pool are modern. The room was air-conditioned. An excellent and peaceful stay. The only slight drawback was the limited menu, but that's because they're currently renovating. It should be perfect in September. I recommend it.
Hotel was adequate, but the restaurant was very disappointing.
A very warm welcome. The hotel has been completely renovated and is very tastefully decorated. The lovely air-conditioned room overlooked the pool. It had a separate bathroom and toilet. The beautiful, well-maintained pool was surrounded by very comfortable sun loungers. The only slight drawback was the food: they offered a set menu on Saturday evenings, and the breakfast was very basic, contrary to the description.
They didn’t redoing to my emails or booking.com dreadful customer service
Great location for visiting the Vosges mountains. Good welcome. The pool is really lovely. Very good breakfast. The only meal offered is grilled food on Friday and Saturday evenings, but the food was good. Be aware of strong smells in the room on Friday and Saturday evenings due to the grilling preparation.
A truly peaceful hotel surrounded by greenery, and the real bonus is its charming swimming pool. The welcome was fantastic, the check-in process was very well explained, and there's a lovely terrace where you can have breakfast or simply enjoy an aperitif by the pool – it was absolutely perfect. I highly recommend it! We'll definitely be back 😊
Pleasant hotel, great welcome, pool at the perfect temperature despite the heatwave. Spacious room with everything you need.
Positive review for the air-conditioned and uncrowded pool and the evening meal in the Blue Lagoon package, negative review for the diamond room under which there is the boiler room and this was not indicated to us, stifling bathroom and toilet, impossible to cool down.
Lovely hotel. Appearances from the road are deceptive. Obviously a work in progress but pool area is beautiful and rooms are rdcently renovated. A lovely stay, so nice we booked an extra night.
The hotel itself is decent and very well-maintained in terms of cleanliness, which is a plus. However, our experience was spoiled by a major lack of comfort: there was no air conditioning in the room, only a fan. During the heatwave, the situation was dreadful. We were forced to sleep with the windows open, which unfortunately wasn't enough to cool the room down. As a result, we barely slept a wink. We were also very disappointed with the food. The barbecue menu costs €100 for two adults and one child, for a very meager offering: there were no starters, only a main course (meat and fries) and a dessert. For that price, the quantity of meat and fries was woefully inadequate. In short, while the cleanliness is there, the lack of amenities suitable for the heat and the restaurant's very poor value for money prevent us from recommending this establishment.
I had a fantastic, very relaxing and rejuvenating stay close to home. My room was lovely and very clean, the pool is magnificent, the water temperature is perfect, and the managers are very friendly. Renovations are currently underway, and I can't wait to return next year to see the results.
Excellent, I recommend it.
Perfect for our overnight stay on route - room far exceeded our expectations - loved the coffee maker and kettle.
Bed so comfortable and sheets very good quality.
Staff so kind and helpful - a super stay thank you
Restaurant not open
Very friendly staff. Very nice outdoor pool.
We loved our stay. The room was spacious enough for the three of us and very clean. We received excellent service, both before and during our stay. The pool is magnificent, very well heated, and in a beautiful setting. There's a lovely garden, which would benefit from some landscaping with a small children's play area.
Passing through the region for three days, I booked two nights with breakfast included. The welcome, the room, the peace and quiet, the respect for others—everything was excellent. The terrace with its pool is very cozy, and the hotel's decor is fantastic, a great mix of rustic and modern. I highly recommend this stay.
Nice stay.
Very nice hotel, new management very welcoming and efficient
The staff were fantastic; they gave us a warm welcome and made sure we had everything we needed. The hotel is clean, beautifully decorated, and exactly as described.
